Sobe Mango Festival

I had such a great time at the first annual South Beach Mango Festival. Boy did I eat! I think tasted from every vendor. As you arrive at 12th and Ocean Drive, it is surrounded by white tents. Almost like an oasis on Miami Beach. I found the festival well-organized and with a wide range of vendors from restaurants to clothing.

Food

Now you know the one and only reason for going to the festival is food. Just know that I wore a loose fitting outfit so my tummy will not show lol. Besides the eating, I drank. I tried mango beer. It was different!   Never knew you can add mango to beer. Now it is time for the cooling off…an mango flavored ice shaved.

Cooking Demonstration

Then it was time for the cooking demonstration. This was my first time watching a demonstration. I usually show up when the food is ready. 🤗I made it just in time to check out Chef Irie of Chef Irie Spice. Chef Irie was whipping the crowd in a frenzy at the Mango Festival! He made coconut mango barley stir with curried mango bacalao. I will let it slide that he is a Gator (I am a Seminole), but this dish was delicious.
