Divas Doing Europe: Paris

About two years ago, I mentioned to a friend that I would take her to Paris. I really never gave it a thought afterward. Well….as a college graduation gift to herself, she said to me, you are taking me to Paris. Allow me to give you some background on my friend Marshelle. She dropped out of college at 22 to begin a career and for the next 33 years worked for the U.S. Postal Service. In 2017, she retired and moved to Tallahassee to fulfill her dreams of completing her dream of earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Interdisciplinary Studies from Florida Agriculture and Mechanical University (FAMU).

In the Fall of 2018, I started planning this trip. The trip started with me and her. Marshelle has a big and loving heart and extending the trip to my cousin Martha who also graduated from college after 28 years with a Bachelor degree.

We started at two but it ended with eight women strong who never been to Paris. Initially, it was supposed to be a trip to Paris and I was able to find a roundtrip ticket on Delta for under $400 leaving on a Tuesday in April and returning the following Tuesday. Everyone was excited as that was a steal. For the next several weeks, I received several phone calls from Marshelle. Can we visit London? Can we visit Amsterdam? Can we do Brussels? Well, I made it work, an itinerary was sent out to the group and we became “Divas Doing Europe!”

Paris

I planned on giving them a true experience of traveling through Europe. The ladies were limited to one luggage and it must be a carry-on as we would be traveling via metro in Paris and on the trains for the other countries. After arriving, it was time to explore Paris for the next four (4) days. Below are some moments from our first-time Divas. We decided to climb to the top of the Eiffel Tower. They made it , who is ready for the next group trip? I can make it happen! Send a message to Travel Inquiry.
