Traveling Buddies

I know you have heard horror stories when traveling with others. And itโ€™s no secret that travel is the ultimate friendship test. From planning and prepping for the trip itself, you get to know your travel partner in new and unexpected ways. ๐Ÿ™ˆ๐Ÿ™‰๐Ÿ™Š

Long conversations are inevitable. The compromise! You find out how they deal with money and stress. What time they wake up in the morning and how long it takes them to get ready?

Basically, itโ€™s like youโ€™re getting married for the extent of a trip. And trying not to have a bitter divorce during the trip.

However, you know when youโ€™ve found a good travel mate when the delays are more fun, you end the trip with a million inside jokes, they are as adventurous as you, you start saying the same things, and even begin dressing alike. This is travel buddy bliss.

Let the Adventure Begin

The most exciting part is when you find the travel buddy unexpectedly in the same city. It all started during 2017 Memorial Weekend when I called a friend at the last minute about going to Nassau Bahamas. She said yes! (I know corny lol). One year later, we have been to Paris, Cartagena, and now on our way to Mexico City for Memorial weekend.

Now a traveling buddy doesn’t have to be in the same city, sometimes it is best to meet in a connecting airport for the next adventure.

Oh, and there are so many more trips planned. So who is (are) your travel buddy?

One Response so far.
