Last night, I turned into a kid in a candy store. I was in Candytopia! You are probably wondering what is Candytopia. Well, the website describes it as an “interactive art installation that celebrates the vibrant colors and flavors of our favorite sugary delights, from flying unicorn pigs to a marshmallow tsunami.”
Candytopia just opened in Miami and all I can say it is a fun-filled event for everyone. It was the best two-hour of getting free candy, pictures for Instagram, and playing in marshmallows.
Now before you head to Candytopia, you need to have a strategy and I am here to help you. First, you need to know where, when, and the how much.
Logistic
What: Candytopia at Aventura Mall
Where: 19501 Biscayne Blvd, on the third level inside Treats Food Hall.
When: Monday-Saturday, 10 a.m. to 8:30 p.m. Sunday, 11 a.m. to 8:30 p.m.
Cost: Adults: $28, kids (4-12): $20. Three and under, free.

Instagram (Social Media) Moments
Candytopia is an explosion of colors for Instagram lovers like me. Make sure your phone is charged to the fullest (and bring your battery backup just in case) and be prepared to snap away.
Oh, just in case you come by yourself, the smiley Candytopia staff members will gladly take your pictures for you. A little tip — I would let them take the pictures for you rather than your friend(s) or significant other. They know how to capture the right picture. IJS!
Candytopia App
Before you enter Candytopia, download the Sugar Rush app, then scan the QR code whenever you see a giant lollipop. You have 10 seconds to strike a pose. The on-site camera takes your pic enhanced with special effects — like drowning in fudge or swirling down
Candytopia Colorful Art
Now it is not all about the ‘gram. You have art and you will get a history lesson about candy. Did you know that Florida is the first state that had chocolate? Also, I learned the 3 major ingredients in marshmallows. Psst….one of them is water 😉🤫
Marshmellow Time
Candytopia saved the best for last: The giant pit filled with over 200,000 pieces of white foam, aka marshmallows. Now, this is an experience like no other! Just go in with a sense of adventure and enjoy it.
