How to Runaway for the Weekend?

I live in sunny South Florida (Miami) where everyone wants to visit BUT on Memorial weekend I wanted to be anywhere but here.  So, I decided to do the most childish thing — I ran away from home.   So you are wondering, how do you runaway when you are an adult?

#1 – Airline Ticket

Find a ticket on JetBlue to the Bahamas, in particular, Nassau the day before traveling for a three-day weekend.   There was no planning.  Just a desire to be free and have no care in the world.

#2 – Arrive at the Airport

Early Saturday morning arrive at Fort Lauderdale Airport with a big smile.   Would you believe it is only a 30-minute flight to Nassau?  It took me that long to drive to the airport and get through security lol.

#3 – No Care

Site seeing, relaxing at the pool, eating and drinking.  The best way to be carefree

Anywho, this was not my first time in Nassau but it felt like the first.  I’ve been to the Bahamas twice but on a cruise ship.  However, this is the first time staying in the city and enjoying the moment.   “It’s Better in the Bahamas”

The Bahamas certainly looks better. I liked the cool look of the houses and shops. I was amazed to see an Instagram take a picture board. Now that’s some insta craze. Seems you enjoyed to the fullest. 🙂

I would LOVE to be here! I would run away, but my husband and kids would be super offended. Ha. Otherwise I would! I’ve never been to the Bahamas before.

I need to runaway! That looks amazing as I’ve never been to the Bahamas and with flights cheaper than they ever have been I bet it’s easier to do. Looks like you had a great time, I’m so jealous!

This is what I need right now! I can’t, however. School is coming up here in the Philippines, so I have to prepare.
