Moving to a new city can be daunting and scary and let’s not even add to the equation during a pandemic. How do you meet people? How do you get the social interactions especially if you are single in a new environment?
Well…..you sign up with @meetup and join groups that have and/or share your interest. Last week I found a group, New to Philly, and they had a meetup at the Rocky Steps.
We did the touristy thing and ran up the steps. Don’t worry there are no pictures 😉. Afterward, we walked around the back and there was an entire world. Who knew 😳🤗
We explored, we talked, we laughed, and we shared our experiences. We had a lot of commonalities such as 3 of us lived in Florida. 3 of us are in the technology field. 1 is Egyptian and 2 of us have visited Cairo. Oh, we all moved to Philadelphia less than a year ago.
Will we all become BFFs, maybe or maybe not, but we can explore the city of Brotherly Love.💗💖
