To know me is to understand how much I love Dunkin Donuts. Every morning, I take a 5 minute drive for a medium coffee with cream and sugar. They even know me at the drive-thru.
However, when I am traveling, I have to cheat on Dunkin Donuts with Starbucks. I’ve thought of not bothering to go, but I can’t resist. Starbucks calls my name loudly and so the affair begins.
Now there is a slight difference in my relationship with Starbucks. I never get the coffee. It is the hot chocolate with no whip. I sound so “Starbuckian”.
Now let’s talk about Hot Chocolate. It is addicting! I spent 10 days in Europe over Christmas and New Year’s 2016 and I must have visited every Starbuck in Paris, Lucerne, and Amsterdam.
Of course, I have a problem picking between a Grande or Venti. More times than not Venti tends to win.
Anywho, here’s to my love/hate relationship with Starbucks Hot Chocolate.

Ha! That’s funny. I never actually never had a hot chocolate from Starbucks. But I have had a grande mocha, which is hot chocolate with caffeine! YUM!!!

I LOVE Starbucks, but I’m not a huge fan of their hot chocolate! I prefer Coffee Bean’s hot chocolate! Have you had it before?

Yum, I love hot chocolate. I don’t drink coffee, so that’s usually what I get. I enjoy both Starbucks and Dunkin Donuts.
I just came back from my afternoon with a hot chocolate from starbucks. Yum.
I am not much of a drinker in that sorts. Every now and then I visit Starbucks and will get a hot chocolate during the winter or a double chocolate chip frappe during the warmer months.
I don’t really have a cheat place – I’m generally pretty faithful to Starbucks. I love their mocha frappaccino, and I will sometimes get it with 2 pumps of mocha, 2 pumps of hazelnut (as opposed to the usual 4 pumps of mocha) for a change. When I HAVE to “cheat,” I usually just shrug my shoulders and hit McDonald’s for a mocha frappe. It’s not as good, but it’s alright.

Where I live we don’t have any chain stores like this at all, so when I travel to the mainland I like to enjoy a visit or two while I can. I have to say I do miss a proper Dunkin’ Donuts!
I am in love with Starbucks however I rarely get it because we don’t live anywhere close to one. Matter of fact the last time I had Starbucks was in July when we were coming home from Turkey in the airport.
I love starbucks, when I worked in California, I picked up on their habits of putting a straw in the cup through the drink whole, great tip for leaking covers. I worked in sales and drove around all day so there were several trips made to Starbucks 🙂

Haha your cheating on Dunkin. I do like both but have also met WAWA and so now they have my undivided attention. I don’t end to get different drinks from each after finding out they flavors differ and not in a good way.
Honestly, I am not a Starbuck lover but I do enjoy their banana loaf! It is always great to find your favourite brew wherever you go.
I don’t drink a lot of Starbucks either but since it has a lot of branches throughout the world, it’s been a convenient place to get coffee or hot chocolate. I think it’s nice to have a cup of hot beverage when you’re traveling to cold places during the winter.
Pretty cool! I don’t go to starbucks often, it’s just that they’ve made themselves pretty accessible especially in other countries! I think it’s nice that you found some comfort in their hot cocoa though, that sounds yummy! I’ve never tried it despite starbucks being so popular.
I sometimes feel bad getting Starbucks while abroad (and ordering an iced Americano) But it is a comfort drink I know I can count on!
Did they misspell your name at least once? Usually I go for their cold drinks or a Mocha Frap but their sweets are underrated if you ask me!
Currently living in England we can’t afford our Starbucks habit. We splurge on it when in the rest of Europe though!
Starbucks is my absolute favorite coffee In the world. Dunkin Donuts never makes mine right and I always get sick which is no fun lol
